Books to Read
The "fun" list will vary because it depends on what sparks my interest. Our library runs a reading program called "Cabin Fever" where you read one book from six different genres and earn prizes. I don't really care about the prizes, but love the challenge to get me outside of my comfort zone in reading choices.
"Spiritual" list so far. I still need to add a few titles, but for now this is what I have:
1. Don't Make Me Count to Three-Ginger Plowman. I started it, just never finished (a recurring theme in my life!)

3. Knowing God-J.I. Packer
4. The Pursuit of God-A.W. Tozer
5. The Presence of God-Brother Lawrence
6. God's Wisdom for a Mother's Heart: A Bible Study for Moms-Bobbie Wolgemuth
7. Big Truths for Young Hearts-Bruce A. Ware
8. A Woman After God's Own Heart-Elizabeth George (I've already read this, but it's just that good!)
9. The Most Important Place on Earth: What a Christian Home Looks Like and How To Build One-Robert Wolgemuth. (I found this while searching on Amazon for #6. We did their Most Important Year books for premarital counseling and they were fabulous. I'm excited to read both of their books!
10 -12: Still to be determined. I hear Humility by CJ Mahaney is really good, and I'd like to get a Piper book on the list.
Verses to Memorize
This is for all those verses I don't know the references for (which is, sadly, a lot). I either know the verse but not where it's found, or I sort of know the verse but not where it's found. I plan to learn one new verse each week, taking a little more time on the ones that have several verses. I've used the ESV, the version our church uses, but for John 15:15, I'm using the NIV-it flows much easier.
1. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
2. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. I John 4:4
3. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. I Timothy 2:5
4. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalm 51:10-12
